Rysse Goldfarb has been sharing recipes and cocktail musings on Instagram as @MommyMixology since 2016. She teaches the art of cocktail making to private groups and consults with clients helping to design, stock, and set up home bars while providing practical and personalized education.
Check out “Mommy Mixology Helping Houston Stir Up Good Cocktails” in the most recent edition of the Jewish Herald Voice.
Rysse was featured in the Winter 2020 issue of Houstonia magazine as a Houston Mixology Expert in an article about creating the ultimate home bar.
Rysse discussed the recent phenomenon of the popularity of the Espresso Martini with Huff Post in “Espresso Martinis: What You Need to Know About Summer’s Big Drink Trend.”
In collaboration with Jason Laviage of JL Custom Group, Rysse designs and builds beautiful home bars with a focus on making cocktails more approachable and helping owners become more comfortable behind their own bars. In an effort to lift“spirits” during this unique time, they created the Covid Cocktail Club on YouTube to teach the art of mixology from home.
Most recently, Rysse & Jason collaborated to form bar·tisan, allowing Houston locals to experiment in their own home bars with high quality, small batch simple syrups. Limited edition seasonal simple syrups are available at LFM – Local Foods Market for purchase. Also, bar·tisan Cocktail Kits and Gift Sets are available at Local Foods in the Heights and on Kirby & W.Alabama.
